What is Kolex?

Formerly known as EPICS, KOLEX has reinvented trading cards and uses current technology to build the bridge between physical and digital collections, focused on esports players, teams, and streamers. Fans can buy digital packs or physical cards which can be added to their digital collection by scanning a code on the cards back. The App also features game mechanics so players can compete with their collection.

You can find what is currently available by selecting "Store & Drops" from the left-side navigation bar. You will now be able to see what digital packs are currently available for sale as well as any Physical card packs you may be able to purchase. Once you make your selection you be brought to a product page that will provide information and odds for items within those packs. If you are ready to purchase simply select "Buy Pack," it's that simple!

How do I buy/sell from the marketplace?

Just like the Kolex store, you will have the opportunity to buy and sell items on Kolex's secondary marketplace. This marketplace can be found on both web and mobile app formats. By selecting the "Market" option from the navigation bar on the left, you will be taken into the marketplace. You will see the featured and recommended listings at the top of the page and will also be able to look through IPs and collections to find what you're looking for. Virtually everything that has been available for purchase within the store can be found within the secondary marketplace.

Your items can be found by selecting the "My collectibles" link from the navigation menu on the left. Here you will see your recently added items, collections, and percentage of completion within each collection. You can select any of these items and list them for sale on the marketplace. There is a small fee with every purchase that you should be aware of. Make sure to check market trends and currently listed products to price your items accordingly. Once purchased, the amount, minus the few, will be added to your account.

What should I know about my collectible?

You have added some items to your collection and now would like to know what to do with them. First off let's take a look at the collectible to break down some information. Select one of your items from your collection. The information at the top left will provide you with the card rarity, the amount currently in circulation, the season it is associated with, the collection name, and the card name. See below for an example.

Below this, you will find minting information about your collectible. This information will include its mint number, who currently owns the collectible, what the collectible trophy score is, how this collectible was acquired, when it was acquired, and its card bonus level. You can also see information regarding current market listings for other mints of this collectible, the history log for this collectible and player states related to the featured player on the collectible. See below for an example.

Finally, you can choose to list this item on the market, add it to your showcase, or add it to your PVE/PVP rosters. These options are located above the name of the card. See below for an example.

Why are mint numbers important?

Let's start by explaining what a mint number is. The mint number is the number of a specific collectible. For example, when you purchase a collectible the mint number is your version of that specific collectible. If the specific collectible has a mint # of A3, this means this collectible is #3 out of X amount of copies that exist in the world. This means that the lower a collectible mint number the more unique and valuable it may be.

Why are some collectible tiers more expensive than others?

Kolex collectibles can be broken down into 5 rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Superior, Epic, and Legendary. The number of collectibles available within each tier gets considerably lower within each rarity. You will also encounter special editions that may be specific to one tier. Below you will find the tier labels and colors for the collectibles.

What is silver and what can I do with it?

Silver is the in-app currency used for a multitude of things. Silver can be used for the following:

  • Spinning the prize wheel

  • Leveling up player cards to use on your rush roster

  • Crafting collectibles

You can obtain silver by daily quests, winning some on the prize wheel, and purchasing some from the app. Quests can be viewed by selecting the "Quests" link at the top left of the page or from the navigation menu on the left of the screen. Quests vary from daily sign-ins to completing KYC, check and see what you have available to you. You can access the prize wheel by selecting the "Free Spin" option at the top left of the page or selecting "Wheel" from the navigation menu on the left. This prize wheel is periodically updated with new prizes ranging from in-game skins, packs, and silver amounts. Currently, you can spin the wheel for free every 30 minutes, although this time may vary. Finally, you can purchase silver from Kolex by selecting the menu at the top right of the screen where you access your profile information. Simply select "Buy Silvercoins" from the menu.

What is crafting?

Crafting is an event in which you select a required amount of collectibles and burn them to make another collectible. Burning a collectible means removing a collectible from the available circulation of that collection. An example of this would be taking 4 common-tier collectibles and 1 superior-tier collectible from the same collection and burning them to create a unique epic-tier collectible. The only way to receive this epic tier collectible is through the use of crafting or purchasing it from the secondary market. Further information will be provided about crafting in another helpful article so keep an eye out.

What is a PVE or PVP battle?

PVE (Player Vs vs. Environment) is an in-app experience in which you can build a 5-card roster from your current collectibles. You have to create a roster based on a starting salary of $45,000. Each collectible card is provided a salary based on its tier, level, and other factors. See below for an example.

Collectors will be able to use these rosters to compete against computer AI teams in CSGO-style battles. Continue to win to increase your skill level and ranking within the app. This is a great way to compete with other collectors.

PVP(Player Vs. Player) is similar to that of PVE, but you will use your roster to compete against other collectors in the community. This is the ultimate way to compete directly within the community. Good luck!

* This feature is currently only available on the mobile app.

What is the leaderboard and how do I increase my ranking?

Great question. Kolex is unique in that it allows its collectors to compete in many ways. One of the biggest ways is to rank on its leaderboard. Each collectible is provided a trophy amount based on its tier, collection, and mint number. The more collectibles and high-value collectibles you have the more points you get. This is specific to collectible types(Physical and Digital) as well as collections and seasons. The important thing to note about this is the higher the ranking you have the higher the likelihood you have to be rewarded. Kolex performs routine "snapshots" of the community leaderboards and provides reward items based on the current ranking. Keep an eye out for snapshots and reward news on Discord.

Welcome to the Kolex Community!

Your account is set up and you are actively navigating through the app. All we can say now is welcome to the Kolex community and happy hunting!!! It's Kool To Kolex!!!!
