Introducing The Kings League Fantasy Manager. This fantasy mode is an exciting game mode with up to 12 players, including auctions, player trades, contracts, and the opportunity to steal players from your rivals.
Before exploring the new features and novelties of this game mode, review this index. It will allow you to quickly locate the information you are interested in without hassle.
1. How Does It Work?
In this Fantasy Manager mode, all managers start the league with the same budget and seven players lined up in a 1-2-3-1 formation (one goalkeeper, two defenders, three midfielders, one forward). You can improve your lineup by using the remaining budget to acquire new players through the daily auctions. Making good use of your budget is key to getting players on the market, negotiating, and upgrading your roster.
To maintain fairness and competitiveness within the league, the top-performing players by position will be reserved from the initial draft. These players will only be available for acquisition through their random appearances in the daily auctions.
Throughout the split, you can also earn an extra budget based on your performance. Each week, your total fantasy points will increase your budget, allowing you to be more competitive with steals, bids, and trades as the split progresses. All your recruited players will have automatically signed contracts, preventing other managers from stealing them.
2. What Are The Main Differences Between Manager And Collector Mode?
Manager Mode works with the same Fantasy scoring model you already know but with some changes.
Fantasy Value
Fantasy limits do not apply in this game mode. This means that you will be able to build an elite team without limitations. Your main goal now is to manage your budget wisely to build the best possible team to beat your rivals.
Collectible Cards
Collectible cards have no impact on this mode, and each league works independently. This means that your points are calculated exclusively based on the fantasy scores of your players.
Is there a minimum number of players to be used to build my team?
No! This requirement has been removed for this mode. Feel like going out on the field with five players? Go ahead! This rule is designed to protect you in case another manager decides to steal one of your active players, allowing you to accumulate points with the rest of your team. Remember: if you don't have a complete team, you are probably missing the opportunity to earn more fantasy points.
Warning! During the fantasy leagues lockout, you will not be able to make any changes to your rosters. The lockout takes place at the kick off of the first match of the day and will remain active until the end of the game day. Times will vary based on the region.
3. Where Can I Buy And Sell New Players?
You may purchase and sell your players on the marketplace. It displays the players available for bidding. All listings use a blind bidding system, which means you won't know what other managers are bidding, and everyone has the opportunity to place the highest offer.
This section will show you the two main areas of the Marketplace where you will be able to buy and sell new players:
1- Daily Auctions
The daily auctions give you the opportunity to bid on players from the market, which comprises all players who were not selected during the initial draft.
Here's how it works:
Auction Schedules
Two listings will appear three times a day, times will vary based on region, from Monday to Friday. You'll never know which players will come up for auction, so be sure to check back in the app. The final auctions will conclude on Saturday afternoon, just before Sunday's game day and closing of rosters.
Draft Day
On Draft day, the number of available listings on the market doubles, giving you more opportunities to tweak your team before the first game.
Bidding System
To place a bid, you may enter up to 50% under the market value, meaning you could grab a great bargain, but remember – you’ll likely need to go higher to beat out the competition. When you place a bid, that amount is temporarily withdrawn from your budget. If you don’t win the auction, your budget is refunded.
Editing Bids
You can adjust your bid before the auction ends, either to raise your bid or to withdraw it completely and recover your budget.
Tie-Breaker
If two or more managers bid the same amount, the first bidder wins.
Transfer Lock
The players that you have managed to acquire through the daily auction or stolen with a secret card will enter into a transfer lock, which will protect them from being stolen, listed, or traded during a match day. These players must remain on your squad for at least one match day.
Warning! Transfer locks do not apply if you acquire a player through trades or auctions from other managers. In those cases, the player is immediately available for trades, sales, or even a steal.
After the roster is unlocked at the end of the match day, the transfer lock will be removed, and the player will return to his normal status, becoming available for steals, trades, and sales. While a player is locked, he does not need a contract card, as he is protected against stealing. Once the lock expires, you can apply a contract to this player. Each player can only receive one contract per match week and a maximum of three contracts per split. If your player has reached their maximum limit on contracts, they can be stolen at any time.
2- Player Listings
As a manager, you also have the possibility to place your players on the market to get more budget for your team.
This is how it works:
Listing A Player
You can list a player directly from the League home page by clicking on the market icon under the player or through the “Manage my squad” page.
Auction Duration
Player-listed auctions can last a maximum of 48 hours but will end earlier if they occur simultaneously as the closing of rosters on the match day. Please note that you cannot register a player earlier than 2 hours before the closing time. You must create an auction at least 2 hours before the league lock. This ensures the auction is live for at least an hour.
Bidding Process
Like the daily auctions, player listings use a blind bidding format in which other managers bid without knowing the bids of others. However, as the listing manager, you can view the bids and even accept a bid to close the auction early if you wish.
No Bids
If no bids are placed, the market will purchase the player from you at their base price. Once this player enters the market pool, he will be able to appear in future daily auctions once the rest of the available players have gone through the auction process.
4. Trades and Offers
Are you ready to build your all-star team? Trades are fundamental to building your perfect team. The trading and offers platform is your main ally, allowing you to negotiate and reach strategic agreements with your rivals, which will grant you a crucial advantage in the game.
Visualize opposing teams: To start, you can view the teams of other managers by selecting them on the leaderboard. When you are on their team page, click on the trade icon to send them an offer.
Making an offer: You can only propose a trade offer for one card from another manager's team at a time. However, you can sweeten the deal by offering up to three of your own cards and/or adding some of your budget to the offer. You can choose to do a straight trade, trade three for one, or add some money—the choice is yours!
Decisions, decisions and more decisions! Once the offer is sent, it is up to the other manager to accept or reject it. If you change your mind, you can edit or withdraw the offer at any time before it is accepted.
Time limits: All trade offers will be automatically rejected and closed five minutes before the roster lock is reached during the match day. If your trade does not go through, you will have to resubmit it once the rosters are reopened. Apart from the roster lock, there is no time limit for offers, and they can remain open all week long.
Budget management: Any budget you include in a trade offer will be temporarily withdrawn from your available funds until the trade is concluded.
5. Secret Cards
Just like in the Kings League, secret cards can be your ultimate weapon to gain an advantage over your rivals. In Fantasy Manager mode, two types of secret cards can make the difference in your strategy: Contracts and Steals.
Secret cards can be purchased in the store, with a limit of three cards per week available for purchase using coronas. To accumulate more, you can also buy additional cards with coins. The number of secret cards you own is shown on the league's home screen and can be used in any of the Fantasy Manager leagues you are competing in.
Contracts
The Contract card allows you to protect one of your players from being stolen by another manager during a match day. You can apply a contract from the main league screen or “Manage my squad" by clicking on the contract icon under the player. Once applied, the contract will remain in effect until the rosters are unlocked at the end of the next match day.
Here's the catch: other managers will not know if you have applied a contract to your player. If someone tries to steal a player with a contract, they will lose their steal card, and you will keep your player safe.
However, there is a limit to protecting each player. You can only apply a maximum of two contracts for two games per player and league. After that, the player is vulnerable to steals unless they are successfully traded, bought, or stolen by another manager.
Contracts can be applied anytime from League unlock up until League lock time. This will allow you to protect your players from possible steals for the following game week.
Please note that contracts are not transferred if the player changes teams. If a player with a contract is acquired through a manager's auction or a trade, the contract will be terminated, and the new manager will have to apply a new contract to keep him protected.
Steals
The Steal card is one of the most powerful tools in your arsenal, allowing you to snatch any player from an opposing manager. However, a steal attempt can be blocked by a contract or a transfer block. If there is neither of them, the player is yours.
But beware! Not everything that glitters is gold: a steal card is not enough on its own. You will also have to activate a buyout worth 150% of the player's current base price. This way, if you steal a top-performing player, the other coach will receive financial compensation.
You are limited to using two steal cards per league and per match day, so choose your targets carefully. Think strategically about who to steal and when to make sure you don't waste a steal card on a protected player and keep your budget under control.
Steals will be available one hour after the League unlocks and will no longer be available one hour before the League lock.
6. Dynamic Salaries - Strategy In Its Purest Form
In the Kings League Fantasy Draft, a player's base salary is initially set by their Overall Rating at the start of the split. But as the season progresses, these salaries are not final. They fluctuate based on the players' performance in the Fantasy league scoring system.
Rising stars: If a player consistently exceeds expectations, their base salary will continue to rise. This means that players who are in top form will become more expensive, reflecting their increasing weight in your team.
Failures and absences: On the other hand, if a player underperforms or does not play for a week, their base salary will be reduced. That's why it's important to keep a close eye on their performance in the real league.
This salary fluctuation changes the dynamic of the game when it comes to acquiring players. It's not just about the initial valuation of the card; it's about their performance on the field. If you are astute enough to scout lesser-known players who will later become big stars, their revaluation could be a significant boost to your budget, especially if you decide to sell them or if they are stolen from you at a much higher price than you paid.
This dynamic adds a new level of strategy to the game. Managers must carefully scout and make intelligent predictions about which players will increase or decrease in value over the course of the season.
7. History
The History section is your space dedicated to tracking all the moves you have made, as well as what is happening with your rivals. Here you will find real-time information about your sales, purchases, and any steal attempts against your players, whether they have been successful or not. It's your go-to place to stay on top of your own game.
The History section also allows you to see what your competitors have done, with one exception: events involving other managers are revealed after the matchday roster is unlocked, not in real time. This league history gives you a strategic advantage by showing you who won an auction and who pulled off a successful steal.
Warning! Make sure to turn on notifications in the app so we can notify you of key notifications and alerts for your fantasy league.
